DO Journal v1.9.0: Set a Default Location in Settings
Some of our users that did not have a location sensor on their PCs have been asking about a way by which they can define a default location that is used when creating entries. We are pleased to address that requirement in the update.
Users can now go into the settings screen and set a default latitude and longitude value. If a Location Sensor exists on your PC, the location will be obtained from that and used. If not, the default latitude and longitude set up in Settings will be used.
To find out your latitude and longitude, you can use http://www.latlong.net/ - simply enter the address for which you want to get the co-ordinates. You can then copy and paste the latitude and longitude values into the settings screen.
- Minor stability and performance improvements
Existing customers of DO Journal (on the Shopify store) will get an email in their inbox with a link to download the installer for the latest version of DO Journal. Customers on the Windows App Store will have the update become available in the store after the store deployment is complete.
This is an in-place upgrade - which means that you simply download and run the installer and it will update the application. Your existing settings and data will not be affected in any way. If, for some reason, you do not get an email from us (please check your SPAM folder!), just drop us an email to email@example.com and we will get you sorted out.
