As more and more users have started using DO Journal, it has become important for us to become proactive in terms of tracking issues (application crashes, etc). At the same time, we want to continue to focus on enhancing the application and improving the performance and flow of the application for users.
With that intent in mind, we are now incorporating Application Analytics in DO Journal. We want to assure you that none of your personal information is monitored, captured or transmitted. Also please be assured that none of the information sent to the analytics server contains any personally identifiable information which can be traced back to you.
We hope you don't turn off Analytics as the information we gather will help us improve DO Journal and deliver a better application experience to you. Thanks for supporting DO Journal!
Tell us what you think of this new functionality!
- Minor performance enhancements.
- Some Surface Pro users have complained of getting a blank screen when running the application. While we have not been able to reproduce this issue, our research indicates that this is likely due to some missing DLLs for SSL connections (which DO Journal requires to get Location and Weather information). As such, this release bundles the required DLLs with the application to ensure completeness.
- Some other minor bug fixes.
Existing customers of DO Journal will get an email in their inbox with a link to download the installer for the latest version of DO Journal. This is an in-place upgrade - which means that you simply download and run the installer and it will update the application. Your existing settings and data will not be affected in any way. If, for some reason, you do not get an email from us (please check your SPAM folder!), just drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get you sorted out.
